Our Shepherd Lutheran Child Care program is a fully accredited Christ-centered ministry of love to children, and support to parents, in the care and nurturing of their children. Through quality early childhood education, the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of young children is promoted.

Infant, Toddler & Preschool Program

Each child is a blessing to us. Your infant will be loved, rocked, read to and sung to in a caring, and safe environment.
Your toddler or preschooler's day will be filled with many new things to master and explore. Young children are active and eager to learn. We provide age appropriate hands-on activities to help them develop their coordination, increase their verbal skills and learn to problem-solve in a nurturing environment.

Growing in God's Love

Our focus is to:

  • Provide a Christian atmosphere for this important stage of the child's growth and training.
  • Make the child aware of the continuing and loving presence of God in his or her life.
  • Witness to the child through capable and loving Christian teachers.
  • Provide appropriate early childhood programming intended for the development of the whole child.
  • Lay a solid foundation for continued education.
Preschool classes include:Childcare

Morning:

  • Jesus time, circle time, outdoor play, art activities, large and small group activities in math, science, music and movement and physical education.
  • Expanded age-appropriate activities are provided for Kindergarten children in our program before and after school.

Midday:

  • Lunch time

Afternoon:

  • 1-3 Nap/Rest Time
  • Afternoon activities include: snacks, outside play, free choice, and teacher directed activities

Lunch/Snacks

Our center provides two nutritional snacks daily. It is the responsibility of the parent to provide a nutritional lunch and beverage for children in attendance during lunch time. For a nominal fee, the center offers a hot lunch program from September through May.
