At Our Shepherd, we believe that good grooming and a neat appearance are an essential part of the total person, and aid the individual as he or she witnesses the Gospel to others, whether they be within our school or in the general community. Uniforms provide this neat appearance, and have the added benefit of creating unity within the student body. In addition, uniforms help to foster respect for organizational rules; they eliminate the possibility of clothing that distracts from the learning environment; and they drastically reduce or eliminate discussions, judgment calls, and enforcement concerns that take the time of parents, staff, and faculty.
