Children are exposed to the arts at Our Shepherd from their early beginnings in preschool. Visual arts, music and dramatics are an integral part of their education. Students learn appreciation of the arts by studying artists and art history as well as by using their imagination to develop their own artistic talents. Children participate in concerts, drama productions, fine art fairs and many other creative endeavors in addition to their classroom and art studio studies.
Music and choir programs are not only offered sd regular curriculum lessons, but also are available as extra curricular activities. Integration of all our arts programs are showcased through out the year in various programs.

Passion Play
Each spring the 5th grade traditionally puts on the "Passion Play," the story of Christ's suffering, death, and resurrection. This allows the children to experience the Biblical account of Easter in a deep and meaningful way. The Passion Play is performed as part of a Lenten Worship service as well as for the school Chapel service. The younger children in our school watch the "Passion Play" each year and eagerly await their turn to tell the greatest story ever told. |
