Lutheran Special Education Ministry
LSEM works with teachers, parents and students to provide support to enable children to receive a Christian education. Specifically, the LSEM teacher consults with parents and teachers, and/or tests students to determine a student’s needs. We can provide support with the regular education curriculum or directly teach subjects with specialized curriculum provided through LSEM. Services can be provided by the LSEM teacher in the regular classroom or the LSEM classroom. LSEM can provide services to students with a variety of disabilities, gifted students, or students that need a little extra help, but have not been identified with a specific handicap. Also, we can provide information in the area of Response to Intervention for classroom teachers. LSEM teachers are always available to talk to parents for any questions or concerns that they may have with their child’s education.
